About the KICKS Project
Using the appeal of football and the power of professional clubs, the KICKS Project works in some of the most disadvantaged communities across the country to create safer, stronger, more respectful communities through the development of young people’s potential.
Reading Football Club’s KICKS Project runs a variety of weekly sessions for FREE.
Health KICKS is in joint partnership with YOS youth offending team. The programme is about nutrition, fitness and wellbeing. It runs for 12 weeks 1 session per week for 2 hours.
Some examples of sessions are hygiene, relationships, personal safety, sexual health
Reading Girls Boxercise
Boxing P.E. lessons for Years 10 and 11. Doing all the boxing techniques over 6 weeks
Swanwick Lodge Secure Children’s Home
Delivering Duke of Edinborough physical and skill sections. Over 24 weeks.
Swanwick Lodge is a purpose built local authority secure children’s home with mixed gender units, providing care for children aged between 10 and 17 years.
Swanwick Lodge provides a safe and secure child centred environment in which children can begin to address the issues that have led to the loss of their liberty

These are the only official courses run by Reading FC. Other courses may not meet our standards The Community Trust Charity is a non-profit making grassroots organisation. Any surplus money made from the courses is redirected into the operation and expansion of the scheme. Our coaching staff are all FA-qualified, hold a valid FA First Aid Certificate, have been police checked, and have attended an FA Child Protection Workshop and RFC Community Trust staff training programmes to ensure they are aware of new developments in football coaching. Essential! . WE DO NOT send out confirmation – so please make a note of dates – times etc Terms & Conditions Places are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment. Cancellations carry a £5 administration fee. No refunds will be given. Credit notes may be issued on receipt of a written request. We do not accept responsibility for loss or damage to property. Children attending the courses should not be left unsupervised at the venue until 10 minutes before & after the course starts and ends.
