Introduction

Reading Football Club’s Community Trust is responsible for delivering to 300 young people on a weekly basis through 4 main pillars of activities – Health, Sports Participation, Community Cohesion/Social Inclusion and Education, helping to engage with young people within the local communities becoming a community hub for the area. In January 2009 the Community Trust received charity status and formally succeeded the Club’s former ‘Football in the Community’ scheme. Presently the Trust of social inclusion employs 7 full time staff, over 10 casual/part time staff and apprentices offering good exit routes for young people within the Reading and Berkshire area, working in partnership with a number of local authorities, charities and organisations local to the South East.

  • Reading FC Community Trust’s Social Inclusion department work with hundreds of young people and adults on a weekly basis. Using the clubs brand and football as a vehicle to tackle exclusion and problematic issues.
